Colin is principally a civil barrister with experience in commercial/chancery and revenue law. He is also a member of the European Circuit.
Commercial/Chancery – Colin deals with trusts and property law including TOLATA claims, landlord and tenant disputes including dilapidations. He also advises on commercial contracts.
Professional Negligence – Colin is instructed in relation to professional negligence claims against accountants and solicitors.
Revenue Law – Colin has a wide range of experience in revenue law both direct and indirect taxes including VAT and has worked in-house as counsel for KPMG and Price Waterhouse.
Colin is a Legally Qualified Chair for Police Misconduct Hearings.
Colin also attends the Magistrates Courts and Crown courts for all driving offences including speeding, drink & drug driving, without due care and attention, failing to stop, failing to provide information and driving without insurance in both defence and prosecution.
Client care is one of Colin’s real strengths. He is skilled and sensitive in dealing with difficult clients, including those with mental health issues. He is an inspired advocate, and has frequently earned praise from both judges and instructing solicitors for the way he handles cases, and the results he achieves.
