Counsel Geoffrey Dann of Clock Chambers successfully prosecuted the defendant in a case regarding the Assault of an Emergency Worker. The committal for sentencing hearing took place at Birmingham Crown Court on the 16th December 2020.
The defendant was charged with Assaulting an Emergency Worker, contrary to section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988, and section 1 of the Assaults on Emergency Workers (Offences) Act 2018.
In a good result for the Counsel; The defendant was sentenced to serve a total of 12 months in prison suspended for two years, and ordered to pay the Victim Surcharge.
