Professional Bio

Law is Marcus’s second career after being a customs officer for 10 years. In Northern Ireland Marcus established a successful practice in the areas of General Common law, Social Security Law, Immigration and Human Rights, including Judicial Review. He has a Criminal practice defending in both the Magistrates & Youth Courts as well as the Crown Court. His Immigration work takes Marcus to all IAC hearing centres country wide where he deals with all levels of Immigration matters. His Civil practice consists of dealing with small claims matters in the County Courts as well as general Civil cases. Marcus has appeared at almost every level of the judicial system including specialist tribunals in relation to Social Security and The Court of Appeal. Marcus has a particular interest and extensive experience in all Road traffic matters especially Excess Alcohol and drug driving cases, dangerous or careless driving, speeding, exceptional hardship cases and totting up disqualification.

Marcus regularly appears in the Crown Court on behalf of Prosecution and Defence mainly Appeals against Conviction and Sentences. He has a particular interest in Defence work covering Domestic Violence, Harassment, Burglary and drug offences.

He regularly appears in the Magistrate Courts for the Defence.
