Client ‘delighted’ after James Findon secures positive outcome in Speeding Offence Hearing

Counsel from Clock Chambers, James Findon, achieved a positive outcome for his client in a Sentencing Hearing at Loughborough Magistrates Court on 12th November 2020.

It was alleged that the client committed the offence of speeding at 39 miles an hour in a 30 zone, contrary to Sections 84 & 89 (1) of the Road Traffic Act, and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Mr Findon discussed the sentencing guidelines and the client entered a Guilty plea, before mitigation was taken in accordance with instructions. From here, the client was invited full credit for the plea.

Subsequently, both Lay Magistrates used their full discretion and only disqualified the client from driving for 21 days and agreed to allow them 28 days to pay the additional £178 fine.

After the hearing the Client confirmed he was ‘delighted with the result’ and thanked Counsel.
